“Peacemaker” Trump: How the U.S. President Ignited War in the Middle East

Viktor Mikhin, June 22, 2025

On June 22, 2025, the United States under the leadership of Donald Trump struck three nuclear facilities in Iran, officially announcing its entry into the aggression initiated by Israel on June 13.

President Donald Trump declared that key Iranian nuclear facilities, which were operating for peaceful purposes, had been “completely destroyed.” No independent damage assessment has been conducted.

It remains unclear whether the U.S. will continue attacking Iran alongside its lackey Israel, which has been waging a ten-day aggression against Iran. Trump, aiming to fully intimidate Iranian leaders, brazenly stated that any justified retaliatory actions against the U.S. would be met with additional strikes. “Iran will either have peace or face tragedy,” said the so-called “peacemaker” Trump. In other words, whether Tehran is right or wrong, it must strictly obey Washington’s orders—a country that has completely replaced the UN and taken on the role of the world’s ruthless gendarme. The world has once again entered a medieval era, where concepts like conscience, decency, honesty, and clear thinking are entirely absent among American leaders, and the whole world must simply follow the commands of its suzerain—the “democratic United States.”

An analysis of events shows that Trump, who portrays himself as a “peacemaker,” is the main culprit behind the escalation

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran confirmed that attacks had been carried out on facilities in Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz but insisted that its work on peaceful nuclear development would not stop.

Some Reactions

UN Secretary-General António Guterres, who is under constant FBI surveillance on American soil, could not restrain himself and sharply criticized the U.S. bandit attack, calling President Trump’s decision to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities a “dangerous escalation.” Specifically, he said: “I am deeply concerned by the United States’ use of force against Iran today. This is a dangerous escalation in a region already on the brink and a direct threat to international peace and security.” As a reasonable politician, he believes: “The risk is growing that this conflict could spiral out of control—with catastrophic consequences for civilians, the region, and the entire world.” But can the opinion of the UN Secretary-General stop cowboy Trump, whose ancestors wiped out all the Native Americans? So why would they care about some distant Iran, a country 90% of Americans couldn’t even find on a map?

Of course, the American sycophant, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was nearly choking with joy in a video address to the U.S. president. “Your bold decision to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities with the fearsome and righteous might of the United States will change the course of history,” he said. Netanyahu claimed that the U.S. had “done what no other nation on Earth could have done.” As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together. Netanyahu alone has over 60,000 Palestinian deaths on his conscience, with more than a hundred thousand wounded or maimed—mostly children, women, and the elderly. Envious of Netanyahu’s “glory,” Trump now wants to outdo him by killing Iranians and residents of other Middle Eastern countries.

Preparation and Execution of the Attack on Iran

The decision to directly involve the U.S. in the war was made after more than a week of Israeli strikes on Iran, aimed at systematically destroying the country’s air defenses and offensive missile capabilities, as well as damaging uranium enrichment facilities. However, U.S. and Israeli officials stated that American stealth bombers and the 30-ton (13,500 kg) bunker-busting bombs they carry provided the best chance of destroying Iran’s heavily fortified underground nuclear sites.

“We have completed our very successful strike on three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan,” Trump wrote in a social media post. “All aircraft are now outside Iranian airspace. The full payload was dropped on the primary site at Fordow. All planes are safely returning home.” Later, Trump pompously added: ” This is a historic moment for the US, Israel and the world. Iran must now agree to begin peace talks. Thank you!” The message to the world is clear: either obey Trump’s orders or be destroyed. One can’t help but recall the old adage—O tempora! O mores!

The White House and Pentagon did not immediately provide details about the operation. But Fox News host Sean Hannity reported shortly after 9:00 PM Eastern Time that he had spoken with Trump and that six bunker-busters had been dropped on Fordow. Hannity said 30 Tomahawk missiles, fired from U.S. submarines 400 miles away, had hit Iran’s nuclear facilities in Natanz and Isfahan.

These strikes are a risky move, as Iran has vowed to retaliate if the U.S. joined Israel’s attack—and a personal gamble for Trump. He won the White House by promising not to drag America into costly foreign conflicts and mocked the value of U.S. interventionism.

Perhaps the overconfident Trump should listen to more competent figures, like former CIA and Pentagon chief Leon Panetta. He warned that the U.S. would inevitably be drawn into a regional war in West Asia, suffering heavy human, financial, and reputational losses. In a CNN interview, Panetta said: “If he attacks Iran, there is no doubt the United States will be drawn into a regional war.”

 What’s Next?

It is entirely clear that Iran’s response is inevitable, as stated by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. And his word, like an order from a superior, must be obeyed. By the way, the Houthis have already vowed to resume active attacks on U.S. ships. In the near future, strikes on Israel and the U.S. via proxy groups in Iraq and Syria are possible. There is also a risk of a nuclear incident—if Fordow was indeed hit, radiation leaks could trigger a humanitarian disaster not only for Iranians but also for the populations of the wealthy Arab Gulf monarchies. And yet, these are Trump’s best friends and allies—how has he treated them? He has exposed them to the threat of nuclear contamination. One can’t help but say: God save me from such friends!

Trump called the operation a “historic victory,” but in reality, his actions have only worsened the conflict, turning a local confrontation into a full-blown crisis. An analysis of events shows that Trump, who portrays himself as a “peacemaker,” is the main culprit behind the escalation. His policy of provocation, tearing up the Iran nuclear deal in 2018, and unconditional support for Israel created the conditions for this disaster.

Now the region faces the threat of all-out war, and Trump will go down in history not as a peacemaker but as an arsonist. The only question is: how much more blood will be spilled because of his ambitions? The answer is simple: a lot, very much! For the sake of his ambitions and reckless decisions, Trump is ready to push the entire world to the brink of catastrophe.
