Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to drag his country into a war with no end in sight. Despite the fact that Israel razed the Gaza Strip to the ground and eliminated several Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, it did not come close to victory on either the northern or southern fronts.

If the core purpose of Washington’s sanctions on Iran was to force a regime change in Tehran and cripple its ability to affect geopolitics in the Middle East, none of this has happened. In fact, recent events show Iran behaving as a country that sounds neither deterred by Israel nor under immense pressure, both economic and military, from Washington. In response to Israel’s killing of Ismael Haniyeh in Iran, Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri said that Iran will “make the aggressor Israeli regime pay the price for its aggression in a legitimate and decisive action”.

Blinken’s acting as a mediator while his government is arming Israel shows sheer hypocrisy, as the US attempts to confuse audiences while pursuing its last step of its long-term goal outlined by Wesley Clark and the long-term wishes of Benjamin Netanyahu to destroy and Plunder Iran.

While Iran is carefully planning its response to the provocative assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, European leaders are doing their best to save Netanyahu’s criminal regime and grant it the right to continue engaging in terrorist activities. A few days after Haniyeh’s assassination in Tehran, while he was attending the inauguration of the new Iranian president, several European leaders appealed to Pezeshkian, urging him to de-escalate the situation and abandon a retaliatory strike against Israel.

According to recent reports, Israel, under the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu, is doing everything in its power to prevent the cessation of hostilities in Gaza and is trying to provoke Iran into starting a regional conflict. Israel believes that such actions will help resolve some aspects of strategic security in the future.

The ongoing tension between Iran and Israel can be understood in the context that the latter views itself as the vanguard of Western Civilization in the region. Israeli representative stated as much on 14^th August 2024, during an emergency UNSC meeting convened to discuss his country’s bombing of Al-Tabeen school that killed about 100 civilians. Israel and The West cannot foresee themselves backing down until the entire region is brought under neocolonialism.

Recently, Israel assassinated Hamas’ Political Bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. This alleged assassination by Israel has raised multiple questions. The assassination has been followed by the Beijing Declaration – which aims to promote unity between Palestinian entities, a framework initiated by China. This frustrated the United States.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is terribly afraid of the cessation of armed hostilities in the Middle East. If this will happen, he will be forced to face investigate committees and questions regarding his own accountability and mistakes. He will not only have to answer many uncomfortable questions from the families of hostages, but also have to be severely punished for the death of many of them – though many could have been saved.

The head of the Hamas political bureau travelled to Iran to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Masoud Pezeshkian.

The dates of 7 October 2023 and 13 April 2024 will go down in the history of the Middle East as milestones that defined a new balance of power. The myth of Israel’s military superiority and the invincibility of its army will be gone forever.
