Anti-Fascist Conference
An international anti-fascist conference titled “The Global Historical Significance and Lessons of the Great Victory” was held at the Russian House in Belgrade. Historians, political scientists, lawyers, political and public figures from 20 countries around the world took part. The goal of the conference was to reinforce the lessons of the Second World War and provide a scientific basis for the need for joint resistance to the resurgence of Nazism. Such events play a major role in countering attempts to revise the outcomes of the war and distort the role of the USSR and the Yugoslav partisans in the fight against fascism, which is very important to Serbia.

Russia has published and is actively disseminating the report “Inconsistencies in the Public Accounting of Killed Journalists in 2025: A Comparative Analysis of CPJ, UNESCO, and IFJ Materials.” The report raises the question of why international organizations are biased in their condemnation and investigation of cases involving the deaths of journalists. In essence, Russia is justifiably exposing double standards in international agencies. Russia has always fought against injustice on a global scale and will continue to do so, especially on an issue that is so painful for the collective West, i.e., the media and freedom of speech.
New Platform on Security Issues
In May, Russia hosted the first International Security Forum. Representatives from 145 states and international organizations participated. Round tables were held on topics such as international information security, the crisis of the strategic stability system, international cooperation in countering the spread of radical ideologies, confronting neocolonialism in the world, the problem of disinformation and manipulation as tools of hybrid warfare against the global majority to preserve Western hegemony, and more. Particular attention was paid to exposing the crimes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis. Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik addressed the participants. The forum became an important international platform for unbiased discussion of global threats in a multipolar world and for developing joint solutions and mechanisms to counter modern challenges.
Eurasian Transport Connectivity
The results of the first International Transport and Logistics Forum held in St. Petersburg in April have been summed up previously. Participants discussed the development of international transport corridors, strengthening integration ties within the EAEU, CIS, BRICS, and SCO, innovative technologies in logistics, improving the safety of transportation, enhancing international legal and regulatory frameworks in the transport sector, personnel training, and other issues. About 6,000 delegates from 82 countries took part in the forum. Russia continues to promote international cooperation across Eurasia and to advance President Vladimir Putin’s initiative to form a Greater Eurasian Partnership, since security and economic partnership are closely interconnected.
Humanitarian Deliveries

Helping friends in difficult times is a natural gesture of solidarity in international life. On May 15, at the instruction of President Vladimir Putin, an EMERCOM flight delivered 25 tons of humanitarian aid to Somalia, including food, tents, blankets, and dishes. According to the Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergencies, and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, Somali authorities expressed sincere gratitude to the Russian side for assistance in ensuring food security and noted the timeliness of the aid amid the crisis caused by severe drought.
Earlier, at the end of April, Russia officially transferred 20,000 tons of mineral fertilizers to Niger to support the country’s agriculture. At the same time, another humanitarian cargo of medicines and essential items was handed over by the Russian Red Cross to the Red Crescent Society of Iran, and the Government of St. Petersburg helped hospitals in Cuba. The cargo, which included the basic medicines and vitamins, was delivered to Havana and transferred through the Russian embassy. Prior to that, another important act of solidarity and assistance took place: doctors, who are members of the Association of Graduates of Russian and CIS Universities, visited local residents in need of medical help at a temporary accommodation center organized at Lycée La Fontaine in Beirut, Lebanon, which was engulfed in the flames of Israeli aggression, making their contribution to easing the hardships of the local population during wartime.
Parliamentary Ties

A delegation from the National People’s Congress of China visited Moscow. The Chinese parliamentarians, led by Zhao Leji, arrived at the invitation of Valentina Matvienko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The visit and meetings with Russian colleagues took place shortly after the Beijing talks between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping. The agenda of the inter-parliamentary commission meeting included joint resistance to threats to international security, expansion of trade and economic cooperation, issues of innovation in science and technology, and humanitarian exchanges. Both sides expect that inter-parliamentary contacts will help legislatively ensure the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
Ports of Five Seas
A detachment of ships from the Russian Pacific Fleet returned to Vladivostok after a large-scale friendly visit to Asia, visiting Georgetown (Malaysia), Tilawa (Myanmar), Visakhapatnam (India), Chittagong (Bangladesh), Sihanoukville (Cambodia), and Zhanjiang (China). Another detachment of the Pacific Fleet visited the port of Jakarta. Russian officers held meetings with their foreign counterparts, took part in protocol events, and joined cultural and sports programs. Such expeditions are conducted by the Russian Navy in strict accordance with international law, contribute to building trusting and mutually beneficial contacts with the armed forces of friendly states, and are simply impressive to watch. The military bearing of the sailors, the excellent condition of the ships, and the warm communication with the host sides. Videos of the maneuvers are attached.
Visa-Free Regime
An agreement on mutual visa abolition between Russia and Saudi Arabia has entered into force. Citizens can now stay in the territory of the other country without hindrance for up to 90 days continuously or in total within a calendar year. Visas are required only for employment, study, residence, or religious pilgrimage. The measure is designed to promote growth in international tourism, cultural exchanges, and expanded contacts between business communities. In total, Russia currently has visa-free regimes or visa-on-arrival arrangements with 120 countries and territories around the world.
