France’s proposal to recognize a neutered Palestinian State launders Israeli genocide, while attempting to lull the world into complacency.

Macron and his Proxy Republic
Macron, in his letter to the head of the Palestinian Authority, cited the need to bring ‘sustainable peace’ as his primary motivation, but his concept of ‘peace’ reflects Western Imperialism in the 21st century, in blatantly formalizing Israel’s colonization of Gaza and the entire Middle East for the West, as seen in the following excerpt;
We must finally build the State of Palestine, ensure its viability and enable it, by accepting its demilitarisation and fully recognising Israel, to contribute to the security of all in the Middle East.
Macron’s statement shows that the version of Palestinian State he plans to recognize will be built by France and its allies on condition of being demilitarized, while Israel will oversee the security of Palestinians, whom it harbors plans of eliminating. Therefore, Macron’s ambition to recognize Palestine is not driven by the need to enable Palestinians to create a state that can defend their sovereignty and right to life. Why Macron expressed his proposal of legitimizing Israel’s military dominance over the Middle East without consulting hundreds of millions of people across the region confirms Israel’s position as the West’s proxy over the region. Also, France’s choice of Israel shows how it is disinterested in peace based on justice, but on laundering Israel’s crimes for it (Israel) to continue advancing the West’s interests.
The idea that Israel can be trusted (by the West) with the lives and well-being of Palestinians shows the West’s disregard for Palestinians in addition to other Middle Eastern peoples, including approval of their systematic elimination as Israel’s past behavior shows. Israel has historically conducted numerous massacres against Palestinians, including Deir Yassin, Al-Tantoura, and Eilaboun, killing thousands, meaning fronting it to guarantee the Palestinians’ security is nothing short of mocking the victims of genocide and displacement that are occurring since 1948. Macron’s suggestion shows France and its allies leading a procession of imperial powers to dance on the graves of victims of colonialism, even amidst disturbing atrocities Israel continues to conduct.
The Lords of Atrocities: Who Will Hold Israel to Account
In the end of June 2025, an analysis of geospatial maps of the IDF’s ‘Aid Distribution Camps’ in Gaza (In which Israel has proceeded to kill hundreds of Palestinians) revealed that only 1.85 million Gazans remain out of the prewar population of 2.227 million, meaning 377000 were unaccounted for, and presumably killed. This estimate cannot be dismissed since a 2024 Lancet study revealed that 186000 Gazans could have been killed by conditions imposed by Israeli war by July of the same years, in addition to over 37000 that had been directly killed according to official records. Therefore, the possibility that about 100000 more Gazans have been killed afterwards by war conditions in addition to those directly killed is plausible, meaning Israel has likely killed over 16% of Gaza’s population. Surprisingly, France now wants Israel placed in a position to kill even more, while Israel’s Apologists have henceforth tried to dismiss the view that 377000 Gazans are missing, some claiming that the missing should not be presumed dead, but have failed to demonstrate why their assertions should be credible.
Exactly how Israeli leadership that is not elected by Palestinians, and which has plans to eradicate the latter and take over their land, will be prevented from implementing its genocidal intentions is not outlined by Macron or his allies. Even while Palestinians are disarmed, Israel will continue receiving intensive military and financial assistance to impose the West’s ‘security’ across the Middle East, which is a fragrant display of Western imperialism. Macron and others hope to mislead the world into allowing a repeat in Palestine of what European settlers in America did in the past by concentrating Native Americans into defenseless settlements and continuously encroaching until the settlements and Natives were nearly wiped out. Unsurprisingly, the Western media is already laundering Israel’s plans to build concentration camps for Gazans, which the West can easily label as demilitarized, and a humanitarian Palestinian State that conveniently leaves the rest of the land to Israel and its Western Backers.
Reincarnation of West’s Colonialism in the 21st Century
The idea promoted by Macron emerged from European supremacist thought developed to enable Western empires to obtain resources from peoples in the global south, who were conveniently labeled as ‘uncivilized’ or ‘incapable of self-rule’. It projects the resource-rich Middle East as incapable of managing its security, a function that Macron assigns to Israel as the West’s outpost. Israel is also supposed to manage gas in Gaza’s coast and Gaza’s land, which the US President Donald Trump has outlined plans to steal and use for real estate projects. The Book “A Mission to Civilize by Alice Conklin shows how French republicans, who claimed to hold democratic ideals, used racist assumptions to oppress West Africans through slavery and colonization for their country’s economic gain. The French conveniently claimed that their victims were backward, a position they perpetuated through biased pseudoscience. Similarly, the book “The Dual Mandate in British Tropical Africa” by Frederic Lugard argued that British colonialism was a trusteeship that served both the victims and the empire, an attitude similar to Macron’s. The West’s proposal to recognize a Palestinian state without full rights and responsibilities like all other UN members must be resisted as it constitutes resurrecting the West’s colonialism through proxies, which has no place in the 21st century.
