Looking at the situation in Gaza reminds me of a quote from the novel “Brave New World”, to learn a lesson between historical developments and the dystopian vision presented in Aldous Huxley’s novel “whereby the first half of the 20th Century was the era of the technical engineers, the second half may be the era of the social engineers” – and the 21st Century, I suppose will be the era of World Controllers, the scientific caste system, and the Brave New World.
For sure, what is going on in Palestine would be impossible in isolation, and without some higher ups in control of “who is to live and who is to die”, a modern-day Nazi like concentration camp selection process. It appears that are seeing in Palestinian some grand experiment of fast-tracked Darwinism, survival of the fittest–and sealing the fate of various castes!
Genocide before our eyes!
It is rather disturbing to watch the plans being made for a ground invasion into Rafah, which was claimed to be the last safe area, and the main border crossing into Egypt, where Palestinian IDPs have found themselves pocketed after escaping the Israelis’ onslaught in northern Gaza – and it looks suspiciously as if this is by plan, as Israel had previously declared this to be a safe zone.
Over half of the total population of Gaza, some 1.4 million people, are crammed into Rafah, including at least 600,000 children. They are left now with nowhere to go, after being driven south as the result of the Israeli’s brutal assault and genocidal policies of murder and ethnic cleansing.
Ironically, the United States is demanding a “credible plan” to manage an evacuation of civilians, while the Egyptian government has refused to open its border crossing with Gaza. At the same time, fraught negotiations continue over a ceasefire to allow the hostages to be freed. Adam Harvey reports.
In Dying, We Live!
It is very reminiscent of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising – as I remember the firsthand account, In Dying, We Live, the personal chronicle of a young freedom fighter in Warsaw (1939-1945), and know this book well, as I used the book to help my oldest son improve his reading – and to teach him how Jews and Poles fought together against a common enemy.
But now, in a different time, the Jews of Palestine, Israelis, mostly the descendents of refugees in the wake of the Holocaust, and including descendants of some of the few survivors of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, have turned from the abused into the abuser, from the victims to the perpetrators of genocide.
This is a hard topic for me to write about, and even trying to get in the right frame of mind for this article is not easy. It is such a horrible situation.
Especially for me as a Jew, to hate my own kind for the crimes they are committing is truly heart-wrenching. It makes the shame all the worse as Jews should, and do, know better
In a nutshell, like packing them into a Ghetto!
Israel has not left the Palestinians with many choices, as Egypt is not going to allow them in, the Arab World does not want the Palestinians, and they have no place to go.
As Caitlin Johnstone put it in a recent article: “… So to summarize, the IDF has been packing the population of Gaza into the southernmost part of the enclave (RAFAH) like toothpaste toward the end of a tube, and now they’re going to attack that southernmost part – but it’s totally not genocide, and you’re an evil Nazi if you say it is …”
And you know that what is happening is a matter of policy, and that includes US policy too, as you will see when you watch the video of Mike Pompeo dancing with the IDF? Even how the killing on all sides is reported represents a double standard in the use of language,
There are “Good” Jews and “Bad” Jews for the Empire!
It is some hope that the world is hearing, and FEELING the plight of the Palestinians, and with Jews coming out with protests and meetings – Shouting Not in Our Name, showing it is time for Zionists to STOP Hiding behind Jews.
Even in Washington DC, the Capitol police are throwing Jewish protestors about as they are “shouting not in our name” and calling for a ceasefire, some are being tosseddown the steps of the Democratic National Headquarters!
One thing is certain, the ill-treatment and genocide of the Palestinians is changing the public mood worldwide, increasing anti-Jewish hatred, as instigated by Israel’s Industrial-Scale Cruelty in Gaza, in which is supported by both the USA & UK. It should be obvious that anyone calling for a ceasefire to prevent further deaths of innocent people is not an ‘anti-Semitic’ but pro human rights!
It is so discouraging to hear from Joe Biden, showing US involvement in Genocide, as he talks about the military operation in Gaza, “In discussing the situation in Rafah, as I have said about our military operation in Rafah, the major military operation without a credible plan for ensuring the safety and support for more than 1 million people sheltering there.”
So perhaps in a slip of the tongue, or mind fart, Joe Biden at times speaks the truth when he said, “our military operation” in Gaza, and with millions more dollars and weapons of death flowing through the pipeline to Israel, there can be little doubt that the US and the Biden administration has become one of “Hitler’s Willing Executioners”, as were many Ukrainians during WW2.
It is ironic that he made this statement during a recent joint press conference with Jordan’s King Abbullah II at the White House, especially considering how many Palestinians live in Jordan. It is as if not only Israel wants to purge Palestinians from the region, to put it mildly!
Rafah is the southern area Israel designated as a ‘safe zone’ for Palestinian civilians in Gaza. More appropriately, this safe zone would be better described as the free fire kill zone, and it is as if the herding of the population was very intentional and long planned ahead of time. It is truly awful.
And watching how US and EU spokesmen try and justify or whitewash this genocide is truly stomach churning. Again and again, we see film of civilians deliberately targeted by the IDF, not only as they flee the fighting, but when they try to take shelter in hospitals, Churches, and Mosques, and even in their own homes. Fully 75% of buildings in Gaza have been severely damaged or destroyed, entire urban areas reduced to rubble. And now, as the survivors have been herded into what can only be described as a “kill box”, the region, and quite probably the world, teeters on the edge of a massive escalation.
Egypt, the first Arab country to sign a full peace deal with the state of Israel in 1979, known as the Camp David Peace Accords, is now threatening to suspend, and perhaps even cancel, the peace deal if Israel moves into Rafah.
The key question is, how serious are the Egyptians? There are reports that they have moved additional military equipment to the border with Israel and that they are constructing a buffer zone as well, meanwhile, the leaders of Australian, New Zealand, and Canada have issued a joint warning to Israel that attacking Rafah will have severe consequences for civilians.
Seriously, how bad does the situation have to be for you to be criticized by Justin Trudeau, the same man who invited a Ukrainian Nazi and member of the SS in world war two, to receive a standing ovation in the Canadian parliament?
If Egypt does intervene, it should be noted that the Israelis will not be facing an under equipped and poorly led national military as they would face in Lebanon (it should be noted I am not talking about Hezbollah here, but the official Lebanese army), but one equipped to a very high standard, with aircraft such as the F-16. Abrams tanks, and well supplied with air defences and artillery systems.
If the worst happens, and Egypt decides to go to war, the potential consequences are too terrible to think about. Any major Egyptian success, may result in the genocidal Netanyahu government unleashing “the Samson Option” as their undeclared nuclear arsenal is called.
Let us hope that it does not come to that. I hope if faced with immediate destruction that the Palestinians will fight back the best they can, even to the death. Regardless, this may be the beginning of the end for not only Palestinians but for humanity, with a regional war that can bring about a doomsday event.
