While the West seems to specialize in deciding which elections are valid, “free and fair,” and worthy of recognition, it also seems to specialize in turning a blind eye when their handpicked puppet dictators suspend elections and rule as tyrants. Ukraine is on track to have elections, well, never.
Voters, Voters, Everywhere, But Now Elections Simply Stink
NATO’s handpicked puppet dictator in Kiev decided to save “democracy” (if we are feeling generous enough to extend that term to the absurd coup regime occupying Kiev since 2014) by trashing democracy. Zelensky cited concerns over the war and suspended all elections in Ukraine. Indeed, it is fair and accurate to say that Ukrainian elections have been tentatively scheduled for the 5th of Never. At this rate the only time elections will occur in Kiev will be when the war is over, Russia has won, the Ukrainian people have won, and a responsible and legitimate government is in power in Kiev with Mr. Zelensky either having fled abroad or having been taken into custody by his victims for his inevitable trial.
Unlike willing volunteers for combat, Ukraine has no shortage of potential voters. They wouldn’t have to use neo-Nazi security squads to kidnap and press-gang young men from the street or from public venues to hurl them into a meat grinder. If Ukraine actually held elections, there would be ample numbers of volunteers lining up to vote the Zelensky government out of power and into prison.
Endless Western Preaching on Elections Finally Rings Hollow
The collective West has spent the last several decades preaching to the world about the primacy of liberal democracy and Western-style elections, elections they send their observers and NGOs to and stamp their approval on, to the extent of condemning Belarus in 2020 and endlessly condemning Russia for their elections supposedly not meeting Western standards. Now the West is in a position where they can scratch their collective heads (as they’ve already tried scratching their collective asses) as they ponder for a solution as to how to spin the Ukrainian election situation. If non-Western approved elections in Belarus are bad, how does a Western talking head or a technocratic empty suit such as Macron describe Ukraine’s total lack of elections?
Perhaps the refrain will be, “Well, there is a war, the situation is dire, they must impose martial law and suspend the elections. Ukraine faces an existential threat.”
Readers would do well to remember that the United States managed to hold elections in 1864 in the middle of an actual civil war where the fate of the nation hung in the balance. The United States also managed to hold elections during World War Two, the Korean War, and repeatedly throughout the Vietnam War. The idea that “Ukraine cannot hold an election because it is in the middle of a war” is at best naïve nonsense, and at worst it is dishonest, manipulative propaganda.
Ukraine absolutely can hold elections. Zelensky’s criminal government cannot survive the holding of such elections, and thus the elections are calendared out for the 5th of Never. Zelensky in Ukraine is in a position similar to that of Netanyahu in Israel; the holding of elections or the ending of a war means the collapse of the government and the end of the personal freedom of the top criminals responsible. Netanyahu has the option of fleeing to the USA or spending some time in house arrest and being politically sidelined in Israel but still being alive and rich, whereas the Ukrainians will probably rip Zelensky apart in the street but stop short of violating him the way the Western mercenaries and hired revolutionaries did to Gaddafi in Libya. Zelensky has a lot at stake in the present situation, not just his freedom and his plundered wealth, but his very life.
Russia and Belarus Lack Western-Approved Elections, But They Have Actual National Approval
It is interesting to observe and note that the nations in the “international community” which insist on international approval for the elections of other nations, are usually the ones where their own electoral systems comply with their arbitrarily chosen liberal procedural mechanisms, but where the actual governments have approval ratings below 30% and occasionally below 20% and sometimes as low as 10%, as is often the case in modern Germany and France. This provides an interesting contrast where a nation such as Belarus holds an election where the Western “democracies” refuse to approve the results because they claim the election was fraudulent (translation: the West didn’t like the result), yet President Lukashenko in Belarus has an approval rating of at least 70% and, by some estimates, as high as 90% of the population of his country. This approval rating is likely due to the fact that President Lukashenko is not actively trying to destroy his society for the sake of woke globalist policies.
While organizations such as Chatham House claim Belarus’ government is illegitimate with less than 20% national approval (numbers they obtained through, only they know, as their methodology was not disclosed and they admit only that they did not conduct research in Belarus itself), the United Kingdom, where Chatham House is based, is arresting no less than 12,000 people per year for social media posts. Rest assured, if Belarus arrested even 50 people for actual subversion and incitement to terrorism, the West would howl and say, “Ah ha! Proof that Belarus is a tyranny!” Meanwhile, the UK leads the world in social media speech related arrests.
In regard to Russia, it appears that the estimates for approval rating for President Putin are 74%, as reported by Levada Center (an organization I admit to knowing very little about)
Meanwhile Macron in France has an approval rating that is officially reported to be hovering around 18%, yet somehow, he remains in office. Across the Rhine is Herr Merz coming in at a reported 13%, with 85% expressing outright dissatisfaction.
Yet France and Germany are supposed pillars of Western democracy and are sitting at the table of international arbiters of legitimacy for all nations, whether near or distant, far and wide. Only in the West can somebody claim with a straight face that a leader with a 13% approval rating, who is actively dismantling his nation’s power grid; opening borders; shrugging while the upcoming generation wallows in unemployment and homelessness, and whose main focus seems to be preparing to funnel his population into a meat grinder in Ukraine, is somehow legitimate, yet leaders with approval ratings from 70% to 90% are not legitimate.
German communists once built a wall to keep their people in; now the German “democrats” insist their NATO allies build walls to keep their people out of the East. Under the right circumstances a sizeable portion of the youth from Western Europe might migrate to Russia if there were favorable land homestead grants, language lessons, and cultural assimilation programs.
Western Elite Narrative Against Russia Depends on Information Control
Brussels, London, Paris, and Berlin (let’s call them the Four Stooges, because they’re not menacing enough to be the Four Horsemen of an Apocalypse as the only Apocalypse they are causing is against their own industries, their own economies, their own cultures, and their own people) have a clear need to ban Russian media such as RT and Sputnik, a ban they have held in place since 2022. Their entire narrative that, “Russia is evil, Russia is not civilized, Russia is a backwards barbarian society” can only be maintained if they maintain a monopoly on information. This is the equivalent of East Germany in the 1960s or the Soviet Union insisting the USA was a depraved land of rampant homelessness, shortages, scarcity, and social chaos. It is almost as though the Cold War is still going on but the roles have flipped and the West is now the Evil Empire that relies on suppression, censorship, lies, border walls, fences, and restriction on movements, while Russia is the faithful steward of traditional Greco-Roman civilization.
The Western narrative cannot withstand their populations having access to Russian information in their own respective languages, let alone actual contact and physical journeys into Russia to see for themselves. This is why the Western “Democracies” have banned direct flights to Russia, and curtailed embassy activity, making it difficult for Russian diplomatic staff to process visa requests, and they have also, in many instances, throttled ties with Belarus and curtailed land access by erecting physical barriers.
Western “Democracies” will deploy military forces to their own borders to keep their people in and to keep their people from going East, well before they deploy forces to protect their shorelines against migrant mass invasions.
Spain can scarcely defend Ceuta, nor can Italy Lampedusa, but they all manage to have tens of billions to funnel to their puppet dictator in Kiev.
Through it all, the important thing to remember is that Ukraine is scheduling elections for the fifth of never, because that is what legitimate democracies do, and the West is perfectly fine with this, because people with 13% and 18% approval ratings have other things on their mind aside from how their puppet dictator in Kiev handles his fiefdom.
