US President Donald Trump recently called European leaders weak, saying that European civilization is fading due to uncontrolled immigration. The European chunk of NATO has been deteriorating for several decades.

Trump understands that an alliance between the liberal globalists inside the United States and European leaders has developed. Today, European ruling elites and the head of the Kiev regime are on one side of the barricades, and the US and Russian presidents are, objectively, on the other. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau attacked the European Union, whose member states “pursue various goals, often contrary to the interests and security of the United States.” Elon Musk called for the complete elimination of the European Union. According to the Washington Post, the Trump administration’s ideological contempt for the European Union runs deep.
Bloomberg wrote on December 15 that Sigmund Freud would consider the president’s concern about the increase in ethnic minorities in Europe a form of projection when a person attributes his deepest, unspoken fears to someone else. By 2040, the majority of the US population will be non-white.
Looming social unrest
In other words, by attacking Europe, Trump is actually referring to America. It is likely that in a few decades – at the latest – most NATO members will become non-Europeans. In essence, this is about American identity. It is no coincidence that Trump places such an emphasis on the fight against illegal migration.
There are more people in the world living outside their country of birth than at any time in history. Almost 304 million migrants are seeking work, education, shelter from internal conflicts, or fleeing drought, floods, and deforestation.
The New York Times, which constantly attacks Trump, emphasized on December 11 that an American civil war is being waged on several fronts. On one of the fronts, white Americans, mostly Christian, are resisting the emergence of an America dominated by minorities, which will become the case by the 2040s. This is facilitated by the decreasing birth rate among the white population and an increase in the number of Latinos, Asians, and mixed-race persons. On the other hand, African Americans are successfully fighting those erecting new walls to keep them out of the place they call home.
When Donald Trump made building a wall along the Mexican border the central motif of his first election campaign, he instinctively chose a word with a dual meaning for millions of Americans. The wall meant a physical barrier against uncontrolled immigration, which accelerated the transition to an America where the majority of the population would be ruled by a minority, but it also meant a wall against the pace and scale of cultural, digital, and intergenerational change.
The US President believes that he is waging a civilizational war for the American home, with an emphasis on racial issues and the Christian faith. It is noteworthy that many Trump supporters see Putin’s Russia – not the European Union – as a defender of white Christian nationalism and traditional values.
Even short-sighted European leaders have begun to realize that tectonic shifts are taking place in international relations today. Speaking at a Christian Social Union party congress, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz acknowledged that the era of American peace has come to an end for Europe. “The United States is now very aggressively pursuing its own goals, which means that we should also defend our interests,” the chancellor said.
One of Trump’s main critics, journalist Thomas Friedman, noted that supporters of the MAGA movement are essentially indifferent to democracy, alliance, NATO, and Europe, instead concerned about Western civilization. Therefore, the protection of American culture, spiritual health, and traditional families are made the basic criteria for national security.
Thus, the US position on Ukraine and its early settlement is becoming a kind of watershed not only between the United States and Western Europe, but also between the Republicans and Democrats. Trump sees this as a battle for America’s future.
Considering recent developments, achieving sustainable peace in Ukraine has become the goal of both the Trump administration and Moscow. The leaders of the European Union and the opponents of the American president inside the United States are trying their best to disrupt peace efforts and continue military operations in any way possible.
While confronting his opponents from the Democratic Party and EU leaders, Trump is beginning to realize that this clash is only intensifying, and the prospects for a civil war in the United States are therefore real. At the same time, the main task of Trump’s opponents is not only to weaken the US president and the Republican Party but also to discredit him before voters. They are using the war in Ukraine as a tool to remove the president from power by slandering and accusing him of all mortal sins to weaken popular support. The Democrats, in particular, staged a heated interrogation of the Minister of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, accusing her of abusing the deportation of illegal migrants from the country. Rumors about her imminent resignation are being spread.
Trump and the Republican Party have been accused of destroying the US social safety net. One of the Democratic Party presidential candidates, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, whose personal fortune amounts to $3.9 billion and who positions himself as a defender of ordinary people’s interests, said the other day, “Republicans who support the MAGA movement are trying to take from working families everything that is important to them.”
Attacks on the American president by the Democratic media outlets are intensifying and becoming more vicious, while Western European leaders are often praised.
