Israel’s repeated violation of Trump’s 20-point peace agreement shows that this plan is actually a plan to perpetuate the Zionist regime’s occupation of Palestine.

President Trump has also accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire agreement. In a statement, he stated, “If Hamas continues to kill people in Gaza, which was not the Deal, we will have no choice but to go in and kill them.” This statement has been widely seen as an attempt to prepare the ground for Israel’s resumption of genocide in Gaza. However, when asked about sending the US troops to Gaza, he stated, “It’s not going to be us, we won’t have to. There are people very close, very nearby that will go in and they’ll do the trick very easily, but under our auspices.” This illustrates that the US administration seeks to provide Israel an excuse to resume its war crimes in Gaza.
The Abraham Accords: A Diplomatic Facade
Trump’s statement also raised concerns about the involvement of a Muslim country in a direct fight with Hamas to disarm the resistance group. However, the potential involvement of troops from any Muslim country could lead to domestic unrest in that country. In addition, Trump’s statement and the Israeli violation of the ceasefire agreement are intended to alter the widespread anti-Zionist narrative to decrease public pressure in Western countries. Expansion of the Abraham Accords has been one of the top priorities of US President Donald Trump. Soon after his re-election as the 47th US President, he stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would join this accord before the end of his tenure. However, Israel’s continuous and indiscriminate bombardment of Gaza increased domestic difficulties for the Muslim leadership to establish diplomatic relations with Israel.
In an address to the Israeli Knesset, President Trump stated, “Israel Will Be Bigger, Better, Stronger Than Ever Before!” Trump’s 20-point ceasefire plan provides an opportunity for the Muslim and Arab nations to recognize Israel. All the Muslim and Arab leadership are presenting this peace deal as a great diplomatic win in their countries. Currently, political leaders in all the Muslim countries are attempting to alter the domestic narrative about the Israel-Hamas war. They are also presenting this plan as an opportunity to rebuild Gaza. However, no Muslim country has officially condemned the Israeli violation of the ceasefire agreement. Nonetheless, people in different Western countries are already protesting against the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
The Illusion of Security and the Shadow of Greater Israel
It seems that Israel will continue to violate the ceasefire agreement. However, it would wait to launch a complete occupational operation in Gaza till all the powerful Muslim nations, especially Saudi Arabia, recognize Israel. All the Muslim leaders know that the recent peace agreement is merely a hoax and is intended to end the Palestinian issue permanently. They signed this agreement to cajole their citizens. Most of the Muslim states perceive that their alliance with the United States and Israel would save their regimes and countries from destruction, remaining oblivious to the Israeli ambition of “Greater Israel”.
The Arab nations, in particular, perceive that Iran is their only regional rival. However, the Israeli strikes in Qatar and its continuous attacks in Lebanon and Syria demonstrate that Israel would go to any length to achieve its Greater Israel ambition. The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also stated that he is devoted to realizing his vision of Greater Israel. This ambition encompasses territories from Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. However, Arab and Muslim leaders are unable to realize the real threat to the sovereignty and security of their nations.
Arab leaders need to acknowledge that the US security guarantees are only against Iran. Washington will never protect these nations against any Israeli aggression, as was observed in the recent Israeli attack in Doha, Qatar. Therefore, in the contemporary world, their survival and sovereignty could only be ensured through self-sufficiency in the defense sector. The Arab nations need to build their own defense capabilities to protect their countries from any regional or extra-regional threat. In addition, they also need to realize that the US hegemony has ended and the Eastern bloc is on an unprecedented rise. Therefore, they need to strengthen their ties with the Eastern powers, Russia and China, to cement their diplomatic and defense capabilities.
