Method in Madness: Recent Events in Chicago: Protests, Immigration Raids, and Federal Deployments!

Seth Ferris, October 21, 2025

Amid violent protests, immigration raids, and political chaos in Chicago, President Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops is igniting fears of a staged “false flag” crisis—one that blurs the line between restoring order and seizing control.

Method in Madness: Recent Events in Chicago

In the heart of Chicago’s boiling streets, where immigration raids turn neighbourhoods into vitual reality battlegrounds and a dubious shooting sparks riots, President Trump’s National Guard storm troopers march in—supposedly to quell “insurrection” but smelling like a classic ‘false flag’ to justify iron-fisted crackdowns and for the federal government to take control of cities that are not supportive of the current US president.

Drawing from Machiavelli’s playbook and echoes of the Nazi Reichstag fire, this orchestrated chaos pits federal muscle against defiant locals, with whispers of Deep State colour revolutions presented as if aimed at toppling Donald Trump himself.

Why unleash hell now, instead of sane, compassionate fixes for America’s immigration mess? Dive in—if you dare face the ugly truth.

Standpoint Dependency and Conspiracy Theorist!

No matter which ‘standpoint dependency’ you take on the domestic or international perspective, no option seems good nowadays. Too many people made, and are still making, too many mistakes along the way. It is as if they don’t want to make the right decisions to insure never-ending chaos and continuous distractions.

Alternatives domestically and on the foreign policy front are quite limited. As at other times, I am frustrated by the lack of clear thinking, accountability, and any sort of principles as starting points. The rhetoric has been so inconsistent over the past years. The lack of predictability is its own frustration and its own reason for greater fear.

Where does law end and control begin—and when does “restoring order” become just another excuse for a power grab?

Mostly, though, I wonder what conversations have happened behind closed doors. I tell this to my students all the time: studying politics, diplomacy, and international affairs can be a fool’s errand, because many confidential and secret arrangements run counter to, or upend entirely, whatever may be gleaned from public statements and actions.

Very unsatisfying and, again, frustrating.

I have been watching what is going on in Chicago, the protests over immigration raids and the shooting of one woman under questionable circumstances.

It seems like total madness, or totally orchestrated—or better put, ‘orchestrated madness!’ It is clear that authoritarian governments cite a need for security to limit liberty. Classic tradeoff. But there’s no real threat to public safety if your not someone trying to kidnap people in broad daylight

Rationale for “harsh crackdowns”

It makes Machiavellian sense, and, as quoted of a former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official who wrote under the pseudonym “Anonymous,” who is claiming that the Trump administration’s deployment of troops to U.S. cities, such as Portland, Oregon, and Chicago, is a “false flag” operation meant to provide a rationale for “harsh crackdowns.”

It is something from a Machiavellian playbook, where provoking or amplifying civil disorder can be used to justify even stronger measures, similar to how authoritarian regimes have used such manufactured incidents to consolidate power throughout history.

President Trump authorized the deployment of about 500 National Guard troops to Chicago (and similar actions in Portland, Oregon) to “protect law enforcement” and curb what he described as “out-of-control crime” and an “insurrection.”

This move came despite objections from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, who both filed lawsuits calling Trump’s actions unnecessary and unconstitutional. Trump has escalated the rhetoric, even calling for jailing both the mayor and governor for resisting!

Such a play is nothing new, and anyone with any knowledge of German and Italian fascism knows how that pans out. The US president had previously called the situation in Portland an “insurrection”

Lots of uncertainty here.

There are just too many actors involved, like the January 6th claimed resurrection, and to stretch the imagination a bit, perhaps even crisis actors. I would not put it past the US government, as a would-be conspiracy theorist, to provoke the situation. The Deep State will use any and all means possible to get greater control over local and state government authority—and for the purpose of getting rid of Donald Trump for good measure—to boot him out in the process!

The US has descended into chaos. The Democrats and ‘Deep State’ are trying to overthrow US President Donald Trump. The protests against immigration raids are well-organised and use colour revolution methods.

I hope it does not become too unstable in the US; hopefully it will pass with just some short term disruption. In the bigger picture, I hope we don’t have WW3, with all that is coming apart worldwide in tandem with domestic conflagrations in the US and EU. Regardless of being over the top with such fears, it seems like a real risk at the moment, combined with unabated bloodletting in Gaza and Ukraine.

Wrapping Up the Chaos: Is There a Method to This Madness?

So, is Trump a wannabe dictator?

His troop deployments, overriding of local elected leaders, and verbal assaults on critics sure scream authoritarian vibes, yet he’s still playing within the murky edges of the law—no election suspensions yet…. His critics scream “creep toward tyranny,” while his fans hail it as ballsy leadership against total anarchy.

This whole mess reeks of the Colour Revolution playbook—those cookie-cutter destabilization tactics the U.S. has exported worldwide—now boomeranging back home to roost.

The big unanswered question: Why the hell now?

Method in Maddness!

Why not tackle America’s immigration crisis with some actual fairness and compassion, ensuring due process even in deportations, instead of this heavy-handed circus?

At its core, this “orchestrated madness” exposes America’s raw fractures over immigration, power grabs, and what the fuck it even means to be American in 2025.

Flash back to 1933: The Nazis pinned the Reichstag fire on those pesky communists (a blatant false flag, we now know) in order to seize emergency powers and crush any and all dissent.

Mussolini pulled the same stunt, stoking street brawls to pose as the savior of order. Trump’s “insurrection” label for Portland? Straight out of that fascist script, inflating protests into doomsday threats to green light military muscle.

Once upon a time, Democrats ran on “law and order.” Clinton’s “three strikes” mantra and Bush’s tough-on-crime echo were bipartisan gospel. Now, the same party that preached control seems oddly comfortable with chaos in its bluest cities. Coincidence—or calculated pressure?

Klaus Schwab’s globalist set cheers on soft-on-crime judges as if anarchy were innovation. Cities burn, but no one grabs the extinguisher. Perhaps the goal is to push Trump into overreach—send in the National Guard, then cry “fascism” when he does.

Portland’s endless riots, Tennessee’s Guard deployments, Chicago’s gang wars—each paints the same picture: order traded for optics. The open border added another layer of chaos. Is this compassion, or just demographic engineering by another name?

And yes, the Democrats’ own violent rhetoric, Antifa’s street theatrics, and the FBI’s political contortions under Obama and Biden reek of the very fascism they claim to resist. Manufactured disorder may be their most effective weapon, even better than manufactured consent.

Still, history reminds us these spirals usually fizzle—not explode. Deals get cut, tempers cool, and systems creak back to life. The 2020 flare-ups burned hot but didn’t consume the republic.

Let’s hope this sequel ends the same way!

The real question lingers: where does law end and control begin—and when does “restoring order” become just another excuse for a power grab?
