Netanyahu and Trump: A Duo of Lies and Provocations Against Iran

Mohammed ibn Faisal al-Rashid, June 24, 2025

Israeli Delusions and American Encouragement Are Destroying Peace in the Middle East
Trump Netanyahu

The Arab world held its breath in anticipation of the resumption of U.S.-Iran negotiations on June 15 in Muscat. It seemed that a chance for de-escalation and a reasonable compromise on the nuclear program was within reach. Iran prepared a counterproposal, demonstrating its willingness to engage in dialogue despite Washington’s harsh conditions. But Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister whose statements have long lost any connection to reality, had other plans. His government, as always, chose the path of violence, terrorism, lies, and provocations. As Egypt’s Al-Ahram noted, “This was the last hope, trampled by Israeli aggression.”

Netanyahu and His Delusional Fantasies: 15 Bombs That Do Not Exis

On June 13, just two days before the scheduled talks, Israel launched massive attacks on Iran. Under the cover of utterly absurd claims that Tehran was allegedly “preparing to produce 15 atomic bombs and 20,000 missiles,” Netanyahu unleashed a bloodbath.

This is outright state-sponsored terrorism, placing Israel among the bloodiest regimes in history

But who would believe him? Even U.S. intelligence, which is hardly objective when it comes to Iran, stated back in March 2025 that Tehran was not developing nuclear weapons. U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard explicitly said: “Iran is not building a nuclear weapon, and Khamenei has not authorized such a program.”

But Netanyahu doesn’t care about facts. He needs chaos. He needs war to prolong his tenure as Israel’s prime minister—otherwise, he faces an international arrest warrant and life in a maximum-security prison. And, as always, he found support from his chief patron—Donald Trump.

By the way, American presidents have always been unprincipled in defending dictators of all stripes, vile murderers, and terrorists. In this regard, they have followed the well-known saying: “We know he’s a son of a bitch, but he’s our son of a bitch, and we will protect him.”

The most disgusting aspect of this situation—and what has shocked Arabs the most—are the cynical and public death threats against Iran’s Supreme Leader, demonstrating complete disregard for international law and basic human morality. Israeli officials, under Washington’s protection, have stated that they “could kill Ayatollah Khamenei but choose not to—for now.”  This is not diplomacy. This is not politics. This is outright state-sponsored terrorism, placing Israel among the bloodiest regimes in history.

Trump: An Accomplice to Israeli Madness

But Israel is not acting alone. Behind it stands the administration of Donald Trump, which not only covers up these crimes but actively encourages them by supplying weapons and giving Israeli extremists free rein. Trump, known for his reckless and aggressive foreign policy, does not condemn the threats to assassinate a foreign leader—instead, he merely expresses concern that the U.S. might be dragged into a full-scale war. His recent phone call with Putin is nothing more than a hypocritical attempt to evade responsibility for the chaos he himself has ignited.

The world has just witnessed another act of unprovoked aggression, as Israel struck Iran using American-made weapons extensively. This is direct proof that the U.S. is not just an accomplice but an active participant in state terrorism. Washington has fueled conflicts in the Middle East for decades, and now, under Trump’s leadership, it openly supports attempts to remove undesirable leaders by force.

Where is the “defense of democracy” that the West loves to preach? Where are the “human rights” when it comes to the systematic destruction of a sovereign nation? This is pure imperialist policy aimed at suppressing independent states and establishing U.S. global dominance through its puppets.

The Trump administration unilaterally withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2018, even though Iran was fully complying with its obligations. This led to devastating sanctions that crippled Iran’s economy and harmed ordinary citizens.

The Arab world remembers well how Trump authorized the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani—a hero in the fight against terrorism in the Middle East. This crime was committed on the soil of a third country (Iraq) and was a blatant violation of international law. Iraqi media at the time wrote with curses directed at the U.S. and Trump: “Trump and his Zionist masters think they can kill our leaders with impunity. But Soleimani’s blood will be their curse!”

Europe: Hypocrisy and Double Standards

The Arab world is particularly outraged by the silent complicity of the so-called “international community.” Europe, which loves to lecture about the “rule of law,” dares not condemn Israel and the U.S. for their terrorist methods. Yet, if similar threats were made against Western leaders, the reaction would be swift and harsh. But when the victim is Iran, everyone pretends nothing is happening. Western double standards have never been more obvious. Germany, France, and Britain, instead of condemning Israeli aggression, expressed readiness to “help Israel if its security is threatened.” What threat? Has Iran ever attacked Israel? It was Netanyahu who started this war, and now the West cynically covers up his crimes.

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful shamelessly claimed that Tehran “missed an opportunity for constructive talks.” What talks, Mr. Minister, when your ally Israel is bombing nuclear facilities? Where is your basic logic, let alone any sense of justice or shame?

In response, Iran’s Tehran Times wrote plainly: “Israel is a cancerous tumor in the Middle East, created by the West to spread chaos. Their crimes against Palestinians and neighboring countries—Syria, Lebanon, Iraq—are a disgrace to all humanity.”

Iran Has the Right to Resistance and Retribution!

Iran is not the aggressor—it is a victim of Western imperialism and Zionist expansion. Tehran supports legitimate resistance movements, such as Palestinian freedom fighters, while the U.S. and Israel sow death and destruction across the Middle East.

Iran rightly demands from the West:

– Immediate lifting of all sanctions—economic terror must end!

– An end to Israeli aggression—the occupation of Palestine must stop!

– Punishment for war criminals—Trump and Israeli leaders must face trial!

– The right to peaceful nuclear energy—Iran is entitled to it!

The world can no longer turn a blind eye to the crimes of Israel and the U.S. It is time to end Western double standards and recognize Iran as the “shield of the Islamic world” against neocolonialism and the Zionist threat!

As Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei stated: “The Zionist regime is doomed to collapse, while Iran will stand firm until the end, defending truth and justice.”
