The Trump administration’s move to shut down USAID, driven by Elon Musk’s criticism of its alleged corruption and deep state ties, signals a major shift in U.S. foreign aid policy.
For the background, Elon Musk has been rampaging against USAID, the allegedly independent U.S. agency that was established under the Kennedy administration to administer economic aid to foreign nations. And now, according to the story from Fox News and Yahoo!, the administration is in the process of shutting down the agency repeatedly associated with the CIA, foreign terrorists, U.S. technocrats like Bill Gates, and the likes of Putin hater George Soros.
The Lie That is USAID
For a decade now, USAID has popped up on my radar in conflicts and geopolitical nightmares from operations alongside the CIA and the U.S. State Department from the Sahel to Kyiv and the Euromaidan coup. Now, Elon Musk has advised and been given the “go ahead” to shut down one of the United States’ most expensive and contravening agencies. Or, as Musk put it, the agency is a viper’s den “rife with marxists and is operating as a criminal organization.”
Fox News reporters looked back at USAID’s controversies in recent years. They found many allegations, including that the agency reportedly helped fund terrorist organizations with U.S. taxpayer funding meant to help the helpless of the world. As I’ve been saying for years, we see that USAID and other policy entities have been disguised as doers of democratic good. The whole mess has been a lie, probably from day one.
Now, the agency run by Barack Obama’s United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, seems to have been using funds to help the destitute and starving in Gaza to fund Hamas. The woman chiefly responsible for advising Obama to “get Gaddafi” running an aid agency kind of spells things out for us all, but somehow, we missed it. Power is a warmongering, self-indulging narcissist heading an American agency launched to help the helpless of the world. But the USAID story and the reasons for Musk’s focus on it runs deeper than CIA skullduggery and far left-wing radicalism.
The same Fox story Yahoo ran as news the other day brings into the spotlight on billionaires George Soros and Bill Gates. According to the report, power met several times with George Soros’ Open Society Foundations and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Fox also uncovered internal documents that showed Power held meetings with powerful entities like the Ford and Rockefeller foundations, among others. If you are investigating how to begin dismantling the so-called “deep state,” focusing on Power and USAID is a good place to start.
Killers Disguised as Good Samaritans
This archived document from Power’s USAID is more than interesting. If you read between the lines, this section tells us that Obama and Biden’s policy (the deep state policy) was to force Russia into the military intervention we are witnessing now. Read carefully what an “aid” organization says about its mission.
“The 2017 U.S. National Security Strategy (NSS) affirms that “a strong and free Europe is of vital importance to the United States” and emphasizes that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and continued use of subversive measures has demonstrated its willingness to violate state sovereignty and use myriad tools to destabilize the region. This is affirmed by the 2018 U.S. National Defense Strategy analysis that “Russia seeks veto authority over nations on its periphery in terms of their governmental, economic, and diplomatic decisions, to shatter the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and change European and Middle East security and economic structures to its favor. The use of emerging technologies to discredit and subvert democratic processes in Georgia, Crimea, and eastern Ukraine is concern enough. Still, when coupled with its expanding and modernizing nuclear arsenal, the challenge is clear.”
So, as you can see, USAID is not some goody-two-shoes American outreach to the poor and downtrodden of the world. Samantha Power is not the world’s Joan of Arc of human rights. USAID’s mission is to be part of the U.S. National Security apparatus. If you search for documents like the one I have linked to, you will also see that someone is rapidly deleting web pages and PDFs that contain evidence of USAID’s fundamental purposes. The “Country Development Cooperation Strategy – Ukraine 2019-2024” may also be gone when you read this. I leave you (and Elon Musk) with a final damning policy statement from Samantha Power’s mutated aid agency.
“USAID will make America more secure and contribute to priority actions under the NSS by strengthening cooperation on cybersecurity, countering Russia’s information aggression, and strategically leveraging conditionalities and joint action to incentivize reforms that will further develop Ukraine’s capacity and commitment to function as a self-reliant economic, diplomatic, and security partner.”
No bombed, battered, broke, starving, or thirsty kids anywhere I can see. How about you?
