Often headlines, “clickbait” or otherwise, can be very revealing and more loaded than what you think, they can even be considered trigger-happy, especially in light of the timing, its publication source and in the wake of what else is going on in the news cycle. With the US-led military debacle in Ukraine, the interview of Putin by Tucker Carlson is a prime example of how an event can trigger a flood of such headlines…

“…if you want peace, you will come to us!”

I am most interested in the ending: When Putin said that “…if you want peace, you will come to us!”  These drives home the message that this conflict, on the part of the West, in spite of the histories as proffered by each side, the Ukraine catastrophe was a planned effort by the West…

It is rather ironic but true. There are those that believe the only way America can be safe is by flexing its military muscle all the time. I can’t believe that’s true. But how do you prove it? One thing is clear, the US maintains lots of military bases so to maintain the “Peace”. But why is there so much emphasis on war, and involvinga country that claims to be a democracy in so many faraway foreign entanglements? One thing we are learning from Ukraine, Palestine, and the recent attack on Yemen – is that many in the West, the so-called Christian World, are closing ranks, politically…

“What goes around comes around”, so goes the old adage; that also applies to media coverage of the position of the US in World Affairs, and especially over the conduct of deadly conflicts in Ukraine and Israel.  Apparently the abrupt change in tone of Western media about Ukraine, or rather over the fighting in Ukraine, Palestine, and many parts of the world have suddenly met the underside of the bus, for starters!..

You know something on a new level is going on when Bernie Sanders, a Jew who almost became US president, who normally just can’t bring himself to go back tracking on his claim that the war against Hamas must go on, in spite of the fact that everybody and anybody with half a mind releases that the unconditional support for Israel in its methods of mass murder, collective punishment, and revenge attacks, is on the level of being one of Hitler’s Willing Executioners…

The first thing to keep in mind when watching the news, or trying to keep up with the corporate media weekly brainwashing agenda, is “Western weapons are not designed to be effective, they are designed to be expensive,” and once you make this paradigm shift, it all starts making perfect sense. It seems like it takes a lifetime to learn by one’s mistakes, at least I hope so for Henry Kissinger, and for lost souls to make better decisions as our time is limited. Often I think of the fictional “Wizard Merlin” who is the sorcerer that lived his life from the future to the past…

One only has to search for EU membership status for Georgia and you will realize that the answer is short, NOT MUCH. Even since the timely untimely death, more likely murder, of Zurab Zhvania, the former Georgian PM under unusual circumstances, and his I am Georgia; therefore I am European speech. These words spoken by the late Georgian Prime Minister, Zurab Zhvania, in front of the Council of Europe in 1999. During the speech, he expressed Georgia’s EU aspirations and outlined the country’s foreign policy agenda for the next decade…

What I would find most interesting is if any fault lines emerge between Ankara and Baku because of their varying approaches to Israel. It is unlikely, I’d guess, as Turkish-Azerbaijani ties run quite broad and deep, indeed, they often describe themselves as “two countries, one people”.  Nonetheless, there are definitely double standards, especially when it comes to who Azerbaijan supports openly, and the position that Turkey has taken, the latter being anti-Zionist, so in today’s language, pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli…

It is going to be interesting to see how Turkey will start acting towards Israel now the agenda is obvious, and not only one agenda but a misdirected, out-of-control, Western collective one. This is also the chance for Turkey to revisit its Ottoman roots and to take the moral high ground for once. It might also be high time for NATO and the EU to take notice, and to reflect themselves on their own military might and foreign, particularly Middle Eastern, policy direction. It amazes me to realize that, so many are trying to unravel what is going on in the Middle East, and with so little to work with, and even that is a BIG territory. The never-ending tragedy is not easy to peel back without knowing at least the basics, aside from the obvious religious divides, how British and French backroom double-dealing impacts us to this day, and for good measure—to toss in a bit of Russian collaboration, prior to the Russian Revolution, over the agreement divvying up the anticipated spoils of the Ottoman Empire…

Israeli and Jewish groups view it as a call for Israel’s destruction and that is just for starters, as it is not politically expedient to hear it said at all, not in the US, not the UK, and especially NOT when spoken by a Palestinian member of the US Congress or a British MP. There are two speeches that will go down in history, and both involve a river, from the River to the Sea, as recently proclaimed by Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian member of Congress, and one by Enoch Powell, River of Blood, and both were likely misrepresented in retrospect…

It should baffle the mind as what is going on in Israel and Palestine, especially in terms of media coverage, and how politicians of all hues are applying two standards to human rights and the much overused concept of international law.
