The official visit of the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadera, to Russia once again confirmed the allied relations between the Russian Federation and the Central African Republic, as well as the fact that these relations have a calling for further development.
One of Russia’s main allies Africa
The CAR President, Professor Touadera, thanked the Russian government and Russians for the warm welcome. He also expressed special gratitude for the meeting with Vladimir Putin and stressed that this visit to Russia is proof of the countries’ friendly spirit and cooperation, which has become an example for the whole of Africa, as well as a source of inspiration around the world.
The head of the CAR was also thankful to the Russian Ambassador to his country and the Russian military instructors, who help strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries every day. “The fruits of this cooperation are very important for our people”, noted Faustin-Archange Touadera. The CAR President announced that progress has been made in security issues, restoration of peace and stability of the republic and expressed readiness to promote cooperation with Russia in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry, mines and geology.
For his part, Vladimir Putin recalled that this year, 2025, marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Central African Republic. He also thanked President Touadera for his attention to the development of interstate relations. This includes the leader’s personal participation in the Russia-Africa Summits in 2019 and 2023.
As for antagonistic Western (including French) propaganda, this visit is, quite expectedly, associated with a sense of Western discontent that relations between the CAR and Russia continue to remain allied and strive for further development. At the same time, the propaganda of the planetary minority and its associated agents is forced to admit that Russia and the CAR are indeed allies. Moreover, according to Western propaganda tools, the Central African Republic is called one of the main ‘laboratories’ of the Russian presence on the African continent.
Here it is worth that the CAR is, indeed, one of the main symbols of the new Russian-African cooperation and Russia’s full-scale return to Africa, where our country has a large number of friends. The point here is not in a ‘laboratory’, but in the fact that the path we have overcome together over the past 7-8 years can really be called colossal.
Russian success in the CAR as inspiration
It is worth remembering that while the troops of the French regime were based in the CAR, the country continued to be in complete chaos. In the French and Western propaganda media, the country has long been associated with eternal violence and, most importantly, with the ‘inability’ to overcome internal strife, including on religious grounds between the Christian and Muslim populations of the country.
However, when Russian military specialists appeared – at the initiative of President Touadera and his inner circle – it turned out that Western rhetoric was nothing more than the most primitive propaganda. In reality, there is no real interreligious hatred among the citizens of the CAR, reconciliation is quite possible, stopping violence and chaos are more than achievable goals and the country can once again be united.
Indeed, before the arrival of Russian military specialists and their strategic support to their Central African allies, more than two thirds of the national territory was controlled by terrorist and bandit formations. By the way, Western propaganda has been rejoicing for a long time, saying that the Russian and Central African militaries will not be able to turn the situation around, although it would have been better for Westerners in general and the French in particular to keep quiet. The presence of the latter remains in the memory of the overwhelming majority of CAR citizens and is associated with the inability and unwillingness to help solve security problems. Moreover, their presence is linked to violence and chaos in the country, the brazen theft of natural resources and, finally, the commission of violent acts against residents of the Central African Republic, including minors.
By the way, the French ‘military’ paedophiles have not been punished in their country, despite all the facts confirming their crimes. But that is all in the past now. The Armed Forces of the Central African Republic (FACA) have become an incomparably more professional military with the support of Russian allies. Together with military experts from Russia, the CAR’s national army returned the vast majority of the country’s territory to government control. Stability and a certain confidence in the future have finally returned and investors from different countries are, once again, reaching out.
Of course, this does not mean that there is no work left to be done. The country still has to make a lot of efforts to give additional impetus to many national projects in various fields. Nevertheless, there is a difference, so it is not at all surprising why the leadership and citizens of the CAR are so grateful to Russia. By the way, it was the example of successful cooperation between Moscow and Bangui that became an inspiration for many other African states, including in the Sahel region.
It is also obvious that one should not relax just yet. As many African friends from the media and civil society like to say, if you kick an enemy out of the door, he will try to return through the window. This is exactly what Westerners, especially the French and US regimes, are trying to do via various methods and involving a number of subcontractors on the continent. But the people of the CAR, as well as residents of many other African countries, are not naïve and they know their true friends very well.
