Americans and the “Blood Moon” Rising

The news divisions of the US broadcast network have “comforted” the Americans with the announcement that they will have an opportunity to witness the “blood moon” eclipse.

In astronomer circles, “blood moon” is the term for the part of a total lunar eclipse when the projections of sunrises and sunsets on the surface of the Moon give it a crimson color as it passes through the shadow of the Earth.

However, our ancestors, like many peoples today, explained the phenomenon in their own way, believing that the Moon was bleeding from wounds inflicted by the forces of evil. For example, the Chinese thought the Moon was being devoured by a dragon, the Germans thought it was a wolf, the Incas presumed it was a jaguar. The Africans believed that during a full blood moon there was a war between the Earth’s satellite and the Sun.

In any case, a lunar eclipse, let alone a “blood” one, did not augur well in the beliefs of many countries. In all cultures it was considered dangerous to even look at a full blood moon. Sometimes there were coincidences that served to confirm the phenomenon was a harbinger of trouble. Thus, in the 160s there was a persecution of Christians just after a lunar eclipse. The ancient Greek historian Thucydides, who chronicled the Peloponnesian War, linked this event to the Sicilian expedition during which the Athenians attempted to capture Syracuse, the birthplace of Archimedes, but the Athenian army was defeated and its commander, named Nicias, was executed.

The belief from the minds of pagans has even passed into the Bible: “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come.” Christian websites, for their part, cite words from the Book of the Prophet Joel: “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come.”

It is therefore not surprising that many people see the “red Moon” as a sign of impending doom. One such fortuneteller is John Hagee, a Christian evangelical pastor from San Antonio, who claims in his sermons that a red Moon could bring about the end of the world — an idea sometimes called “blood Moon prophecy”.

All these prophecies become particularly relevant for the United States today and are in line with assessments of the emerging critical situation in the country caused by the current White House administration.

For example, Tim Stewart, president of the US Oil & Gas Association, said on Fox News the other day: “We are experiencing the greatest, possibly the worst, energy crisis in the last 50 years. Gasoline and diesel prices are at record highs and inventories are at record lows.” However, he noted that the US authorities are not only failing to take the necessary action, but are also obstructing those who want to solve the energy crisis. “This administration [of US President Joe Biden] has no strategy on how to help us get out of this, and frankly, all of their actions are counterproductive for those of us who are trying to solve the problem.”

Inflation is a hot topic for most Americans. That’s why a recent Pew Research Center poll found that inflation is at the top of the list of issues Americans worry about.

Ukraine, which everyone in Washington is obsessed with and which Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell called the most important topic in the world, is not even in the top ten issues of concern to American citizens. The situation around Ukraine will only take an important place in the story of the decline of the “American empire”, The American Conservative columnist Rod Dreher says. He said US intervention in the Ukrainian crisis would lead to the decline of all but the US military and industrial complex. The US is wasting huge money on Ukraine, which will be stolen there anyway, US House of Representatives member for Arizona Paul Gosar said on Twitter on May 13. “Zelensky made $100 million last year as a public servant somehow,” noted Gosar. The columnist supported the position of Senator Rand Paul, who blocked the transfer of another $40bn to Kiev and urged US politicians to pay attention to their own country’s internal problems. According to Dreher, support for the Kiev regime will cost the US dearly. The US media believe the bill, if approved by the Congress, will only further enrich the armament business, with which Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is linked, and will also support Ukrainian oligarchs — longtime partners of Hunter Biden.

Millions of people could die because of the incompetence of the current United States authorities in the situation with Ukraine, “the most dangerous time in the history of the United States”, 45th US President Donald Trump said at a rally in Pennsylvania on May 7.

However, getting back to the problem of inflation in the US, as even US analysts point out, it was created deliberately by the people in the US state apparatus running the US economy, who printed a lot of money very quickly and thereby devalued the US currency. After all, the devaluation of the dollar is the only way to continue servicing the national debt. The M2 Index, the aggregate data used by the Federal Reserve to measure the money supply, is not just rising in the US, it is growing faster than at any time in American history. M2 is over $22 trillion now! For comparison, on February 3, 2020, the figure was $15.3 trillion, meaning 43% growth in the money supply in just two years, of which the “Biden reign” has already accounted for a year and a half…

America has declared economic and financial war not only on Russia but on the world. And it is losing this war, writes American economist Daniel Gur of the Lexington Institute in a column for the conservative publication 1945.com. Washington’s policy is aimed at the “complete destruction of the Russian state,” but coming close to achieving that goal would mean provoking Moscow into using nuclear weapons, Tulsi Gabbard, former Congresswoman from Hawaii told Fox News on May 10. She said Americans should “kick the warmongers out of the Congress” and “stop this madness.”

The United States has stooped to the level of a “defective democracy”, which is why most countries have refused to support the US and oppose Russia in the face of the special military operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, according to an article published in the US-based Foreign Policy. The article thus reacted to the US-ASEAN summit in Washington on May 12-13, during which most of the bloc’s countries made it clear that they were neutral on Ukraine.

In addition to the widespread decline in US prestige and influence due to its failed policies, another Summit of the Americas will take place in Los Angeles in three weeks’ time, which could also prove a failure, turning the Biden administration into a “PR disaster”, The New York Times reports. According to the publication, a number of regional leaders have already said they may miss the event.

But that is not all the trouble the current White House administration is inflicting on the American people. So let’s see how the “blood Moon”, whose coming was notified by the US broadcasting network units to the country’s residents, will ultimately turn out for the US this time.
