There has been a lot of attention given to the allegations from Chris Wylie to the UK Parliament the past weeks that a company called Cambridge Analytica, with the help of Facebook and ancillary companies of Cambridge Analytica, used information about Facebook users to influence, among other things, the elections in the USA, and the Brexit vote. On March 7th Wylie revealed the NATO hand behind his puppet neck when he claimed in an interview on the American propaganda show Meet The Press that data allegedly taken from Facebook is “stored in Russia.” No evidence has been supplied to back up these claims and both Cambridge Analytica and Facebook deny it, but their denials are met with skepticism in the mass media and government circles. Or at least that is what they pretend, for Wylie’s claims are more dubious than the denials and his strange history and connections leads us to ask, who exactly is Chris Wylie and what‘s his game?
To find an answer we begin with the statement made by his sponsor in the media, Carol Cadwalladr, one of the writers for the Observer and Guardian newspapers who is adept at writing fiction in both her single novel and most of her journalistic pieces. She is one of the stars of the British mass media whose role is to portray Russia and President Putin as dangerous and guilty of influencing both the US elections and the Brexit vote. She has never presented any evidence for these claims because none exists, but she is always given big spreads in the British journals and now she claims to have essentially discovered the mysterious Chris Wylie and presented him, as a media star, to the world. In the Guardian/Observer piece she wrote on March 17, when she broke the story touting Wylie as some sort of hero, she made a revealing statement:
“His career trajectory has been, like most aspects of his life so far, extraordinary, preposterous, implausible.”
It’s one of the few times she has told the truth about anything, and no doubt was inserted into her portrait of Wylie to deflect questions about him. But she only succeeds in confirming everyone’s suspicions for Wylie’s claimed biography is indeed preposterous and implausible.
So who is he? We don’t know except what she states. He is apparently Canadian from British Columbia, parents both physicians, a high school dropout. He says he dropped out of school at age 16, when most students that age are in grade 10. Yet, he claims, that just 4 years later he was studying law at the London School of Economics, not an easy school to get into even with first class A levels in the UK or similar level in Canada. How can someone with not even a high school diploma or O level qualifications in the UK, gain entrance to the faculty of law at LSE? He then claims that just four years later, at age 24, he was studying for a PH.D. In “fashion trend forecasting” but it is not stated where. I don’t know what “fashion trend forecasting” is or that there is a PH.D programme in such a subject but again, to be in a PH.D. programme you have to have a bachelors or masters degree in the subject beforehand and he says he studied law. Why he switched from law to fashion is not stated either, nor why he would want to study law when he is a claimed expert at “coding” whatever that means. His status in the UK was also unusual. The story states he holds a rare Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa but how he obtained it is not explained as he seems to have no special discernible talents though Cadwalladr almost has an orgasm describing him as some genius “terrifying to behold.”
So, how did he become involvedin what appears to be a deception of monumental proportions, that the Russians manipulated the people of the United States and Britain to vote for what Wylie thinks are bad things, Trump and Brexit? The first clue we come across is the war mongering Canadian professor of politics and philosophy, and close adviser to US the government, Michael Ignatieff, one time leader of the Liberal Party in Canada whose reputation as an American imperialist apologist cost him the election Canada when he ran to be prime minister in 2011.
Ignatieffis famous for his support of US aggression. His text on Western “interventionist policies and nation building, meaning American aggression,Virtual War: Kosovo and Beyond, won the Orwell Prize for political non-fiction in 2001. Ignatieff was also a journalist from time to time in the UK and wrote for the Observer where Carol Cadwalladr also works and where the story about Wylie and his claims was first floated. As a journalist, Ignatieff observed that the United States had established “an empire lite, a global hegemony whose grace notes are free markets, human rights and democracy, enforced by the most awesome military power the world has ever known. This became the subject of his 2003 book Empire Lite: Nation-Building in Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan, which argued that America had a responsibility to create a “humanitarian empire” through nation-building and, if necessary, military force. This would become a frequent topic in his lectures. At the Amnesty 2005 Lecture in Dublin, he purported to offer evidence to show that “we wouldn’t have international human rights without the leadership of the United States.”
He gave a lot of speeches supporting the American wars of conquest and was one of the main architects of the “humanitarian intervention”, “responsibility to protect” doctrines the criminals in charge of the NATO governments try to use as cover for their crimes. He has gone so far to advocate the use of torture against prisoners.
You get the picture. The man is a war criminal and propagandist for war criminals. So this is the man Chris Wylie started off his work life with, as an intern for Ignatieff when he was a member of the Canadian parliament. But there lies another problem since Canadian parliamentary interns are required to have a degree to qualify and at that time Wylie did not have a degree. In any case, however he got such a position, if he did, people are judged by their associations.
Then, very soon after Ignatieff loses the election in Canada, Wylie somehow gets a job, vaguely described as “political strategist”, with the Liberal Democratic Party in the UK and while with them learns about a company called SCL Group, the parent company of Cambridge Analytica, and somehow is offered a job there only to learn, to his surprise he says, that it is involved in black psychological operations for the UK and US Ministries of Defence and MI6. Cadwalladr has him claiming to have been unaware of its military-intelligence connections but it is unbelievable that this quick-witted genius did not know that when he took the job as it was well known and a casual glance at the company’s webpage reveals the statement that the SCL Group,
“provides data, analytics and strategy to governments and military organisations worldwide.
Their mission statement contained on their website states:
“Our vision is to be the premier provider of data analytics and strategy for behavior change.
Our mission is to create behavior change through research, data, analytics, and strategy for both domestic and international government clients.”
The company is notorious for alleged involvement in military disinformation campaigns and manipulating public opinion and political will. Its expertise is in psychological operations – changing people’s minds not through persuasion but through informational dominance, a set of techniques that includes rumour, disinformation and fake news. You, the reader, can see where we’re headed, for isn’t that what Wylie is now doing?
Now we come to Carol Cadwalladr, the British journalist who broke the story about Chris Wylie and his claims on March 17 in a big spread in the Guardian, with a photo of Wylie in his ultra-faux street cool look, the pink hair and the look; that, “are we gonna get away with this?” look, staring right at you. Cadwalladr is a novelist as well as a journalist and her newspaper reporting seems more fiction than fact a lot of the time.
She gives a clue as to her role and motives in her article where she writes,
“It was Wylie who came up with that idea and oversaw its realisation. And it was Wylie who, last spring, became my source. In May 2017, I wrote an article headlined “The great British Brexit robbery”, which set out a skein of threads that linked Brexit to Trump to Russia. Wylie was one of a handful of individuals who provided the evidence behind it. I found him, via another Cambridge Analytica ex-employee, lying low in Canada: guilty, brooding, indignant, confused. “I haven’t talked about this to anyone,” he said at the time. And then he couldn’t stop talking.”
I bet he couldn’t, and to a person who is adept about putting out lies, which she repeats in her article, that Russia has links to the Trump campaign and to the Brexit vote. That’s her entire reason for being, to contribute to the anti-Russia, anti-Putin propaganda campaign run by NATO.
A woman with a mission seeks the tool to carry it out and “finds” it, she says, through an unnamed person who is said to have also worked at Cambridge Analytica, and who gave her Wylie’s name to contact. To do what, search for the “skein of threads, she claims to have written about connecting Russia to everything when those threads do not exist? Or to meet with someone willing to play a role, to engage in some theatre, who thinks the same way, and wants a piece of the action, wants to put us on, have a laugh, make some money at our expense as he advocates control of social media and the internet, control of us, control of our speech, who we associate with, our exchanges of information, of ideas. For that is exactly what SCL Group does for the benefit of NATO and its government clients; control and manipulation of the people in order to gain their approval and support for their economic system and for their wars, to reduce resistance, opposition, and dissent to a minimum, if not to erase it entirely, to establish, in other words complete control of the entire electronic communication sphere and us.
Cadwalladr states something else in her article that is curious. She quotes him saying, “I haven’t talked about this (his claims) to anyone.” Uh-huh. So how did Cadwalladr hear that Wylie had something to say? Why did she bother to find him; for what reason? She made a mistake writing that for that is the tell, the mark, the clue that this whole scenario is a set up, for the Ignatieff, Wylie, SCL Group, Cambridge Analytica,Cadwalladr connection gives the appearance of one hand washing another, and all of them with the same anti-Russian, anti-people, agenda; the control of the internet agenda and the undermining of what’s left of our democracy by claiming that elections are not the will of the voters, that the Brexit referendum is not valid and those who voted for it were duped, and manipulated, while those who voted against it were not, that the Trump election victory is bogus.
Since the most manipulative tools of mind control in the west are the mass media and the governments that control them it is difficult to see any validity to this claim. The writers of the script seem to realize that and so got the public alarmed about privacy concerns, but the objective of Wylie’s claims and testimony to the UK Parliament are clear; to undermine democracy and provide the justification of even more control of social media and the internet.
Cadwallardr writes about Wylie,
“It’s taken a rollercoaster of a year to help get Wylie to a place where it’s possible for him to finally come forward.”
I can only interpret that to mean it took them a year to massage him, coach him, prepare him for his big part in the drama, to go on stage, and act out the script. Unfortunately, many people already upset about lack of privacy in their lives, have praised Wylie as a “whistleblower” and demand action, not realizing that he is not blowing a whistle but, like the Pied Piper, blowing his horn to lure the gullible public down to the road to censorship and tyranny. Soon, he will be taking his dog and pony show to Canada, the US and the EU, with the support of the manipulating media and a hoodwinked people who fail to ask questions, to connect the dots to see through the illusion, to realize that they are subjects of a psychological operation that is preparing them to accept the cutting of their own throats.
