It’s just been announced that US President Donald Trump is planing to sign a controversial law that would restrict his ability to lift sanctions on Russia, which would result in a severe blow to his budding relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Against this backdrop, a number of statements that the White House has released in vain attempts to somehow save face have quite naturally fallen flat.
Once Congress struck a deal to advance the measure last week, Trump angrily tweeted that “the phony Russian Witch Hunt continues,” calling it “very sad that Republicans, even some that were carried over the line on my back, do very little to protect their President.”
It’s been pointed out time and time again that this piece of legislation, should it be adopted, would be a flagrant violation of the US Constitution, which determines the prestige and independence of the position of the country’s president, but nobody seems to care. This is clearly putting Trump in a humiliating position, forcing him to abide by a predetermined course for US foreign affairs no matter what comes next.
One can’t help but notice that “certain forces” in Washington are taking every possible step on the road toward bringing the United States closer to some sort of internal discord, since many have been plotting to bring Trump down, seeking ways to destroy the legitimacy of the president’s office and transforming the nation into a banana republic. In particular, this topic has been carefully examined in a recently published article by the American Conservative.
It’s clear that political mutineers led by the Democrat core which fail to accept Hillary Clinton’s defeat decided to unleash a “legislative revolution” that remains unprecedented in modern US history. The mutiny follows a scenario of so-called “color revolutions” that US intelligence agencies have mastered in various countries around the world.
The likes of George Soros, rich and powerful oligarchs, are not ashamed of their designs. No one is making a secret out of the fact that the objective of this recent media hounding is to bring Trump down via a deep state coup. Few deny it.
To get a taste of what is about to come just take a look at “random” intercepts of conversations between Trump’s associates and unnamed Russian citizens. While the mutineers have yet to bring forward all of the so-called evidence, it been reported that there was an abnormal number of such conversations intercepted by US intelligence agencies. On orders higher up, the conversations were transcribed, and, contrary to law, the names of Trump’s associates unmasked. Then those transcripts, with names revealed, were spread to all 16 agencies of the intel community at the direction of Susan Rice, and with the possible knowledge of former US President Barack Obama, assuring some would be leaked after Trump became president.
One would have a hard time trying to remember when there’s been so many leaks in modern history aimed at injuring a president from within his own government, and not just political leaks, but leaks of confidential, classified and secret documents. The leaks are coming out of the supposedly secure investigative and intelligence agencies of the US Government.
Russophobia has been in play in the world of US politics since the early days of McCarthyism, and recently it’s only been getting worse with full-out anti-Russian hysteria being spread by every single American media source. While in the absence of any evidence Americans reject the idea of Moscow affecting the decisions of the White House in any way. The so-called Liberal forces have managed to completely paralyze both the executive and legislative power in the US. Under the influence of this Russophobic campaign, all liberal media sources demand to “bring Trump to justice,” although the over-exaggerated topic of Russia’s alleged interference in US affairs has bored readers long ago. According to Fox News reports, polls show that the vast majority of Americans couldn’t care less about those allegations and they would like the media to pay attention to more pressing problems.
It is not hard to see that Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act deprives the US president of any actual power, effectively transforming him into a puppet bound to pursue foreign policy goals that were determined by those forces that were pushing for this law to be adopted.
Should American media sources stop telling horror stories about Russia, notes former Reagans aid Ralph Benko in his articles for Forbes, everyone would be able to see that it may turn out to be a great friend. The author of the above mentioned piece argues that Trump didn’t fall victim of the anti-Russian hysteria, and we should definitely follow his example.
