As it has been mentioned already, in spite of the desperate attempts to make Obama look good being made by the corporate media, he’s nowhere near the wise peacemaker that is being sold to us. And for sure, common Americans won’t remember him in such a manner. Moreover, he is not to be remembered as a laureate of the Nobel Peace Prize either, since he was awarded with it unfairly in a bid to please Washington and its power brokers.

There’s a reason why an increasing number of voices around the globe demand he be  striped of this honor, since his military adventures he initiated resulted in hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths. This step has been advocated by numerous US and international media soucres, academics, and institutes, among which one can find the Cato Institute. Its piece would state:

Christof Heyns, the United Nations special rapporteur on extrajudicial killings, summary or arbitrary executions, told a conference in Geneva that President Obama’s drone strike program threatens 50 years of international law by encouraging other states to violate long-standing human rights standards President Obama has taken military action in a total of seven countries -. Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen – without the authorization of Congress If you include covert military actions taken by special operations forces, the list. is longer and the impact much broader After eight years of continuous warfare, the Nobel Committee should take another unprecedented action:. It should revoke Obama’s peace prize and demand repayment of the prize money

As it’s been noted by the Rasmussen Reports, 72% of Americans are dissatisfied with the course that Obama chose. The disastrous presidency of Barack Obama is also being scrutinized by the Hoover Institution which would point out that his foreign affairs, for their part, have been an unmitigated disaster. Everywhere one looks – Russia, China, the Middle East the situation is more dangerous than it was before President Obama took office.

According to The Washington Post, thanks to Obama, the cancer of terrorism continues to spread across the globe. A Gallup opinion poll shows that every second American blames Obama for the failing economy of the US. As for the unimaginable growth of racial tensions in the United States during Obama’s presidency the Gallup would point out that Americans are far less positive today about what Barack Obama’s presidency as a means for the advancement of blacks in the US than they were shortly after his historic election. A total of 82% of the black population of the United States agrees that racial tensions have been on the rise recently in the US, and up to 56% of white Americans support these views.

The American Spectator would attribute Obama’s presidency to the transformation the United States has undergone, noting that Americans now populate the largest, wealthiest and most powerful banana republic in the world. The differences between Obama’s America and Maduro’s Venezuela are defined only by degree.

However, we must recognize that Barack Obama has had some positive influence on this world.

To honor the heritage Obama leaves behind, American scientists have named a class of parasitic flatworms in his honor. As it’s been reported by the Journal of Parasitology, Baracktrema obamai is a newly discovered species of blood fluke found in Malaysian freshwater turtles, placed in its own new genus. It was discovered in 2015.

The new type of flatworm was discovered by a scientist from Indiana, Thomas R. Platt. And what is curious one cannot help but notice  similarities between the tactics employed by Barack Obama and Baracktrema obamai. It’s been reported that the parasite infiltrates the body of a future host through skin, mucous membranes or when swallowed. Once in, it feeds on the blood of its host, while going through its bloodstream. When it leaves eggs, those are covered with spikes that penetrate blood vessel walls and damage various organs of their host. Isn’t it somewhat symbolic?

Well, it seems that only due to a sense of humor of American parasitologists, Obama will leave at least some trace in history.
