As countless times before, the renewed eruption of conflict in Israel and Palestine has polarised the world. Though many try to tread the line and call for diplomatic solutions to minimise the loss of human life, most take a side. In such an environment, most states take such a position and pledge support to either one side or the other, but increasingly, corporations have begun to take this role too…

On the night of 26-27 October this year, the Israel Defense Forces launched an aggressive assault on the Gaza Strip, using tank brigades and special forces, with air and sea cover. As promised by Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, a “deadly attack” – a “combined land, sea and air attack” – hit the Gaza Strip. This offensive resulted in hundreds and thousands more Palestinian casualties (including civilians). However, to say that with this offensive the IDF has begun and completed the ground operation against Hamas would be wrong, for the resistance continues. There comes a time you find yourself asking just what more can go wrong, and behold before your eyes it does! As the blaze is burning on all sides in Israel and Palestine, and in the Ukraine on the other end of the geopolitical spectrum, it is almost too late to discuss how this fire was ignited. To add fuel to the fire, one needs to just toss in what is going on in the US and how its staying power (resolve) is wearing thin, at least when it comes to the desire to throw more good money after bad with Ukraine and its unconditional support for Israel, right or wrong…
