In previous articles we have looked at the process of increasing European engagement in Inner Asia through bilateral initiatives. This time, the reader will get an overview of the interaction between the parties in the framework of the European Global Gateway initiative. On 25-26 October, Brussels hosted the Global Gateway Forum, which was soon described by journalists as “an alternative to China’s Belt and Road Initiative”. It is noteworthy that it took place only a week…

Turkey, currently strengthening its position in the international arena, is seeking to bring about a multipolar world, with itself as the leader of the Turkic pole. As part of its Turan project, Ankara is now focusing its attention on the southeastern area of the post-Soviet space. Technically, it could be said that the relevant international pan-Turkic structure already exists, in the form of the Organization of Turkic States…

President Putin’s victory in the recent elections intensified the anxiety of the United States and its European allies. Most of the Western countries have refused to accept the Russian elections. The reason is that the West desired to witness an ineffective president in Russia to manifest its ambitions of expanding NATO eastwards. However, Putin’s re-election has shattered all such dreams of the Western countries…

After the successive failures of the French regime in the Sahel region, it is now Washington’s turn to feel the true feelings of contemporary Africa. And this, both at the level of the new patriotic and pan-African governments and at the level of the popular masses. The time of illusions, when some might have thought that Washington’s policies could be different from those of European colonial metropolises, is now a thing of the past…

Russia has no future. The British Isles do. Long before the last serving of fish and chips has passed into gastronomy history, Blinis and Pelmeni will have been stricken from all the languages of Earth. At least, this is what Owen Matthews, the author of the book Stalin’s Children, believes. Sadly, he is not alone in his ludicrous and addictive hate of all things Russia…

African and Caribbean leaders are uniting to pursue reparations for horrendous atrocities perpetrated during transatlantic slavery and colonialism (here). On 30th January 2024, the Ghanaian Times published an article featuring the Guyanian president’s appeal to African leaders to expedite mechanisms for reparations for slavery and colonization (here). Similar calls were made by the Ghanaian president, Nana Akufu-Adoo (here) including earlier at the UN General Assembly…

A growing number of media outlets in America and in Europe have recently reached the conclusion that “rules-based international order” long espoused by the West has failed. In essence, this means that the position of the Western powers in the world has weakened: they have failed to destroy the Russian economy by imposing sanctions, and the war in Gaza has demonstrated that the US and the Western European countries are far from all-powerful. The media frequently claim that Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine has changed the international situation…

Expanding Chinese influence across three continents through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has perturbed its regional and global rivals, India and the United States. The Western bloc – led by the United States – launched the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) at the G20 summit held in New Delhi on 10th September 2023. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, the European Union, Italy, the United States, France, and Germany are part of this project and have signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) for building this 4800 km long trade route

China is willing to participate in international platforms where opinions are exchanged on various aspects of the current stage of the Big World Game. For, as we have said, “Comrade Mauser” will remain silent as long as the lines of communication between the key participants, through which certain signals are transmitted, are not closed. Which, with its current power, is crucial. The hypothesis that propaganda fighters may use “tactical nukes” with impunity on certain players is dubious…

On January 19, 2024 the President of Kazakhstan ended his official visit to Italy. During his visit to Italy Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as well as Italian President Sergio Mattarella. During his meetings with his hosts, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the dynamic development of trade between the two countries, which reached $14.5 billion by the end of 2023. He expressed the hope that the figure would increase to $20 billion in the coming years. If that happens, then Italy will account for about 1/6 of all of Kazakhstan’s foreign trade, compared to its present level…

The question of Turkey’s possible integration with Europe has been under discussion for decades and is one of the most problematic issues in post-war European history. Turkey was one of the founders of the Council of Europe in 1949, has been an “associate member” of the EEC since 1964, and officially applied for EU membership on April 14, 1987, but was only granted candidate status 12 years later, at the Helsinki Summit in 1999. Following the Brussels summit of December 17, 2004, accession negotiations with Turkey began on October 3, 2005. Turkey appears to have harmonized its laws with those of the EU…

Despite the complete subordination of Europe politically and in other areas to the aggressive hegemon of the United States, there is growing sharp discontent among a number of European politicians, scientists and experts against the submission of once independent European states and against the desire of European leaders to speak in a foreign, American language. This is evidenced, in particular…
